Official Rules
The following
Sweepstakes is intended for play and participation in the

on “submit” to enter the drawing. Entries must be received by

3. DRAWING: Prize winners will be selected in a
random drawing held on or about
4. PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV). One (1)
Grand Prize – A $2,500 SpaFinder Gift Certificate. ARV of grand prize: $2,500. Five
(5) First Prizes – A $250 SpaFinder Gift Certificate. ARV of first prize: $250
each. Gift Certificates not exchangeable
or redeemable for cash and subject to all terms, conditions and restrictions of
use as listed on Gift Certificate. For
more information about SpaFinder Gift Certificates, go to www.SpaFinder.com. Prizes consist of only the items specifically
listed as prize. Total ARV of all
prizes: $3,750.
5. Prize/Winner Verification: No transfer of prize allowed. No cash redemption or prize substitution allowed, except as provided herein. In case of unavailability of any prize, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return affidavits of eligibility and liability/publicity releases (where permitted) within 14 days of written notification, or prize will be forfeited. If prize notification letter or any prize is returned as undeliverable, or any prize documentation is not submitted as required by Sponsor, the corresponding prize will be forfeited. Should multiple users of the same e-mail account enter the Sweepstakes and a dispute thereafter arises regarding the identity of the winning entrant, the authorized subscriber of said e-mail account at the time of entry will be considered the entrant. “Authorized account subscriber” is defined as the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
6. General: All taxes on all prizes are solely the
responsibility of winners. By
participating in this promotion, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by
these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and
binding in all matters relating to this promotion. No more than the advertised number of prizes
will be awarded. All submitted entries
become property of 3M and will not be returned.
Participants waive the right to assert as a cost of winning a prize any
and all costs of redemption and any liability which might arise from redeeming
or seeking to redeem said prize, or from use, misuse, acceptance or possession
of said prize. By participating,
entrants agree to release 3M, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries
and agents, including without limitation their advertising and promotion
agencies, and each of their respective directors, employees and officers
(collectively "Releasees"), from any and all liability arising from
or in connection with participation in this promotion, or the awarding, receipt
or use of any prize accepted. By entering, entrants further agree
that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity,
interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, participant’s rights
and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection
with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with
the laws of State of Minnesota, without giving effect to any choice of law or
conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Minnesota or any other
jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any
jurisdiction other than the State of Minnesota.

7. Limitations of Liability: Sponsor and other Releasees are not
responsible for: (i) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited
to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software,
delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, technology
outage, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of
entries, whether caused by the sender or any of the equipment or programming
associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (ii) the unavailability or
inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iii)
unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process, (iv)
electronic, clerical or human error which may occur in the administration of
the sweepstakes or the transmission, receipt or processing of entries or notification
of winners; or (v) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but
not limited to entrant's computer, hardware or software, which may be caused,
directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in
the sweepstakes. Without limiting the
generality of the foregoing, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole
discretion, to terminate, modify, cancel or suspend this sweepstakes if fraud,
technical failures including any network server or hardware failure, viruses,
bugs, errors in programming, or any other errors or other causes beyond the
control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security, or proper play, of the
sweepstakes. In the event of
termination, prizes will be awarded in a manner to be determined by Sponsor
consistent with state requirements.
Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall the Sponsor or the
other Releasees be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or
consequential damages that result from the use of or inability to use the web
site, or out of any breach of any warranty.
This exclusion or limitation of liability will not apply to the extent
that any applicable statute prohibits such exclusion or limitation of
liability. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EVERYTHING ON THE SPONSOR’S
8. Winners List: For a list of winners, send a self-addressed, stamped business size #10 envelope by June 14, 2008 to: Filtrete™ Spa Sweepstakes Winners List, P.O. Box 1199-W, Grand Rapids, MN 55745-1199. Winners list will be sent after all winners have been verified.
9. Release: By participating in the promotion and accepting a prize, winners release Sponsor, its agents, partner companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotional, production agencies and judging organizations from any and all liability, loss, harm, and including without limitation, property damage personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with acceptance and/or use of the prize or while participating in or traveling to any price related activity. Winners also consent to the use of their name, voice, and likeness and/or photograph Sponsor, its affiliates, and agents for advertising, publicity and trade purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
By accepting a prize winners acknowledge and agree that Sponsor, it’s affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the employees, officers, directors and agents of each of the above, have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prize including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. SpaFinder, Inc. is not a Sponsor of this promotion.
